This multidisciplinary clinic is a collaborative effort of physiatry (rehabilitation medicine), physical therapy, and an orthotist. Emphasis is upon evaluation for and fitting of custom splints, braces and devices which enhance function in weakened or dystonic/spastic limbs or spine. Prosthetic evaluation and maintenance services are also available within this setting. Attention is paid to both cosmetic issues, maintenance and evaluation of indications for continued splinting.

  • Spinal bracing
  • Lower extremity orthotics
  • Custom shoe inserts
  • Dynamic upper extremity splinting
  • Static upper extremity splinting (eg.-resting splint for use during part or most of each day)
  • Adjustment of existing splints
  • Repair/replacement of damaged or worn bracing
