Offerings
This multidisciplinary clinic is a
collaborative effort of physiatry (rehabilitation
medicine), physical therapy, and an orthotist.
Emphasis is upon evaluation for and fitting of custom
splints, braces and devices which enhance function in
weakened or dystonic/spastic limbs or spine.
Prosthetic evaluation and maintenance services are
also available within this setting. Attention is paid
to both cosmetic issues, maintenance and evaluation
of indications for continued splinting.

- Dynamic upper extremity
splinting - Static upper extremity
splinting (eg.-resting splint for use during
part or most of each day) - Adjustment of existing
splints - Repair/replacement of damaged
or worn bracing
Providers
The clinics occur twice a week.
Monday clinics are done in conjunction with Orthotics Consultants or
North Andover, MA. Tuesday clinics involve orthotists from
Orthotics and Prosthetics Associates (offices in
Bedford, MA, Nashua, NH and Methuen, MA).
When and Where
Orthotics clinic is held in the
Clinic room adjacent to Wing 100. Clients can be met
in the outpatient waiting area. Hours of operation
each Monday and Tuesday afternoon are from 1:30 to
5:00 pm.
